Joel graduated from Fanshawe College with a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion in 2013, followed by a degree in Kinesiology in 2017 and a Masters of Professional Kinesiology in 2018 from Brock University.

After completing his Masters he worked as a Kinesiologist before attending Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2019 and graduated in 2023. Joel specializes in assessing, diagnosing, and treating muscle, joint, and nerve conditions that include, but are not limited to:

  • Headaches/migraines

  • Concussions

  • Neck/shoulder blade pain

  • Low back pain (herniated discs, mechanical back pain, facet irritation, spinal stenosis)

  • Sciatica

  • Numbness & tingling in arms/hands and legs/feet

  • Posture related complaints

  • Scoliosis

  • Rotator cuff injuries

  • Sport injuries

  • Hip dysfunction/pain

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Muscular complaints related to rheumatoid arthritis

  • Workplace/motor vehicle injuries (MVA and WSIB claims)

Joel seeks to provide treatment to the area of concern and find the root cause of the dysfunction or reason for pain. To do this, he employs the following techniques:

  • Active release techniques (ART)

  • Spinal and extremity joint mobilizations or manipulations

  • Rehabilitation exercises to increase muscular strength, mobility, or flexibility

  • Acupuncture

  • Supportive or athletic taping and bracing

  • Ergonomic advice

  • Compression stockings

Custom orthotics If necessary, modalities include:

  • Low level laser therapy

  • Ultrasound

  • Interferential current (IFC)

  • Shockwave

  • Heat

Joel is passionate about providing individualized, patient-centred, evidence-based care to assist you with your ailments, helping you return to what you love or need to do. He advocates for exercise as medicine and aims to enhance overall health through physical activity and conservative chiropractic care.

He has previous experience as a Kinesiologist where he provided concussion and musculoskeletal patients with rehabilitative exercise programs and athletic therapy for Brock University’s rugby team. In his free time, he enjoys watching or playing baseball and hockey.

Aside from sports, Joel enjoys staying active, spending quality time with friends and family and has an appreciation for franchises such as Star Wars and Marvel Studios.
